The short version: right now, petaira.ai is a pre-launch site. The only thing we ask you for is your email address, and we use it to tell you when our Kickstarter campaign goes live. We don't sell your data. You can unsubscribe at any time, from any email we send.
This policy covers this website and our email list only. The Petaira collar and app are still in development; when they launch, they will have their own privacy policy covering the device, audio processing and app data.

We do not sell personal information for money. However, using the Meta Pixel for advertising may count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law. To opt out, email us at the address in section 1, or use your browser's Global Privacy Control signal, which we honour.
Email [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. To unsubscribe from emails, you don't need to write to us at all — every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and it works immediately.
This site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their information, write to us and we will delete it.
We keep your data with established providers who encrypt it in transit and at rest, and we limit access to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously — the email list is the most valuable thing we have right now, and we treat it that way.
When Petaira launches, we will publish a fuller privacy policy covering the collar and the app. If we make a material change to this one, we will update the date at the top, and — if the change affects how we use your email address — we will tell you by email.
