The short version: this site tells you about a product we are still building. Nothing here is a contract to sell you anything, prices and specifications may change, and you can't buy the collar on this site. When our Kickstarter campaign opens, that's where the actual transaction happens — under Kickstarter's rules, not ours.
These terms are between you and VOYAGE OF DREAMS LIMITED ("Petaira", "we", "us"), registered at RM03, 24/F, Ho King Comm Ctr, 2-16 Fayuen St, Mong Kok, Hong Kong. By using petaira.ai or joining our email list, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
petaira.ai is an informational and pre-launch site for the Petaira cat collar. Its purpose is to describe a product in development and to let interested people join an email list.
You cannot buy anything here. We take no payment and hold no order.
Please read this one. Everything on this site describes a product that is not finished. Features, hardware specifications, app functionality, pricing, reward tiers, launch dates and shipping estimates are all provisional and subject to change. The binding version of all of them will be the Kickstarter campaign page at the time you back the project.
Specifically:
Nothing on this site creates an obligation for us to build, launch or ship any particular feature, at any particular price, by any particular date.
Joining the early bird list means we may email you about our launch and our progress. It gives you no reserved unit, no guaranteed price, and no place in a queue — reward tiers on Kickstarter are first come, first served when the campaign opens.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. How we handle your address is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Before our Kickstarter campaign opens, we may offer a reservation deposit of US$1.00, taken through Stripe. This section governs it.
The deposit is not a purchase. It buys no product, reserves no unit, and creates no obligation on us to ship anything. Paying it does not make you a backer.
What it does get you. On the day our campaign opens we will email you a private Kickstarter reward link. That link opens a VIP reward tier priced so that the deposit you already paid is deducted: the tier is listed on Kickstarter at US$88, and together with the US$1 already paid your total is US$89. Quantity is limited, normally to the number of deposit holders.
Two payments, two separate parties. The US$1 is paid to VOYAGE OF DREAMS LIMITED through Stripe. The US$88 is pledged to us on Kickstarter and is governed by Kickstarter's own terms. If you later cancel your pledge on Kickstarter, Kickstarter deals with the US$88. The US$1 is not part of that refund.
Refunds. If the campaign never launches, we refund every deposit in full. After the campaign ends we also refund deposits that were not used, so nobody is left having paid US$1 for nothing. Refunds are returned to the card that paid.
Using the link. Kickstarter private reward links require you to be signed in to a Kickstarter account and to open the link in a web browser. They do not work inside the Kickstarter mobile app. The link is meant for you; please do not forward it, as the tier has a limited quantity.
Prices. Every price in this section is provisional until the campaign page is published. Section 3 still applies: the product is in development, and nothing here guarantees that it will ship.
If our campaign launches, backing it is a transaction between you and us on Kickstarter's platform, governed by Kickstarter's own Terms of Use. Kickstarter is a crowdfunding platform, not a shop: backing a project carries risk, including the risk that the project is delayed or is not completed. Please read Kickstarter's terms before you back anything.
The Petaira name and logo, and the text, images, video and design on this site, belong to us or our licensors. You may share links to the site and quote short excerpts with attribution. You may not copy the site, use our branding as your own, or present our material as if it were yours.
Don't use this site to break the law, and don't try to break the site. That means no attempts to gain unauthorised access, no scraping at a scale that degrades service for others, no submitting other people's email addresses, and no automated abuse of our forms.
This site links to other services — Kickstarter, social platforms, our email provider. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or their handling of your data.
This site is provided "as is". We work to keep it accurate and available, but we don't guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every statement on it will remain accurate as the product develops.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of this site, or from reliance on information on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
We may update these terms as the project moves forward. The date at the top shows the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and the courts of Hong Kong have exclusive jurisdiction — except that, if you are a consumer resident in the EEA or the UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring proceedings there.
